scorpion

Scorpions feed at Night and are attracted to water. They enjoy eating many types of food sources including crickets and small insects. They hide under objects and can fit into almost any space. They are devious! They can cause harm to you if they sting you.

bees

Arizona has many wild honey bees, and Africanized bees. Africanized bees are known to be more aggressive and sting in larger numbers. Both are similar in appearance. All bees should be treated with caution. Bees can be dangerous to people and animals.

silverfish

Silverfish are known for their destructive feeding habits! They commonly 

only infest dark, damp areas around paper and linen sources. Silverfish infestations can be found in kitchens, laundry rooms, bathrooms, attics and basements

crickets

Crickets are omnivores and scavengers feeding on organic materials, as well as decaying plant material, fungi, and seedling plants. Crickets live under rocks and other objects. Many are nocturnal.

gophers

Gophers are plant and tree root-eaters. They can destroy an entire tree, and they kill the grass. Gophers cause significant damage and costly repairs. It is important to notify us in a timely manner when a gopher mound is discovered. It is important for us to set traps or bait them before they do more damage.

centipedes

Centipedes have poisonious jaws with which they inject venom into their prey. If handled roughly, some larger species can inflict a painful bite that can break human skin and causes pain and swelling, similar to a bee sting.

ants

Ants are a danger because they sting and bite. They can come into your home and contaminate food. They are an annoyance and can carry disease. They can nest in the grass. Ants often find their way into your home for food or water.

mice/rodents

Rodents tend to be rapid breeders. Rodents chew on a variety of items available to them causing great damage in and around homes. They can harbor and transmit a number of serious diseases. They can also introduce disease-carrying parasites such as fleas and ticks into your home.

termites

Arizona is a goldmine for subterranean Termites. They nest far underground and often go unnoticed until they have infested a location above ground. They construct mud tubes that they travel through. Most of the damage by Termites is done to the structural foundation. Click picture to learn more

pillbugs

Pillbugs are a nuisance, particularly when they venture indoors. They are capable of feeding on tender plants and occasionally they can cause considerable damage to gardens.

earwigs

Earwigs are nocturnal; they often hide in small, moist crevices during the day, and are active at night, feeding on a wide variety of insects and plants. Damage to foliage, flowers, and various crops is commonly blamed on earwigs.

millipedes

Most are plant eaters, but some are carnivores. Millipedes live mostly under rocks.  They have from 47 to 197 pairs of legs (depending on the species)

spiders

Arizona has many different spider species. Some common threats are: The wolf spider is a good hunter with excellent eye sight. It will inject venom if provoked. The Black Widow's bite is much feared because its venom is reported to be 15 times stronger than a rattlesnake. They are non-aggressive unless provoked. Most bites are not fatal.  The Arizona Brown (Brown recluse) spiders are found outside in firewood piles, leaves, or piles of rocks, or indoors in dark closets, shoes, cluttered basements or attics. They have one heck of a bite If you suspect a bite from one, please seek medical attention. Its bite can cause permanent tissue damage.

german roaches

These type of roaches reproduce faster than any other type of residential roach. They are smaller in size and often can be found in kitchens and bathrooms. The German cockroach is omnivorous and a scavenger. They particularly like starch, sugary foods, grease and meats.

Cockroaches

Cockroaches prefer to live in wet, dark, warm environments. They are often found in sewers, drains, meter-boxes, bathrooms, garages, and damp areas. Some can create a smell. Roaches carry a lot of disease including E.coli and salmonella. They can cause allergies, and spread a lot of bacteria. They can go for weeks without food or water.

Ticks are parasites that feed off the blood of the host. They have such small mouths that the bite is not usually felt. Some tick bites develop a red ring. Ticks are capable of spreading disease.

Fleas are wingless. They have mouth-parts that are adapted for piercing skin and sucking blood. Fleas are external parasites, living off the blood of mammals and birds.
